Gathering for the Holidays

While I was at work yesterday, Gigi and the boys enjoyed the warm (almost) winter weather and gathered lots of ingredients for our holiday wreath.  We worked on it together after dinner, sticking pieces of fir, cedar, spruce, pine, and moss in between the grape vines.  And of course we had to add some snazzy berries that we bought at JoAnn.  Here is a picture of Alec showing off the finished product:

I hung the wreath on the front door after the boys went to bed, and they were very excited to see it when they went outside this morning.

We have other holiday activities planned for the weekend, including a parade, a Christmas party (for me), and cutting and decorating the tree.  The boys are very excited for Christmas this year, but mostly because Skip should arrive home on Christmas Eve (keep your fingers crossed, I have been promising the boys).  You can track Skip's current whereabouts here.
